CAST CAD

Reusable CAST count/length/area/symbol tools now load from `/api/cast-cad-markups?action=tool-library`; placements create review-gated markups/takeoff rows and never become budget-authoritative without human review.

Searches `/api/cast-cad-search` for source-cited OCR text and symbol hits. Production extraction still requires `CAST_CAD_OCR_WORKER`; the workbench does not fabricate private OCR text/artifacts when the worker is absent.

Reviewed index samples are explicit audited contract records for workflow testing only. Worker-generated OCR, searchable private text storage, visual search, and Auto Link extraction remain blocked until the private OCR/symbol provider and storage adapter are configured.

Creates source-cited private sheet-link candidates from audited OCR/index text and drawing metadata. Candidates stay Needs Review; publishing fails closed until human review plus CAST_CAD_DOCUMENT_METADATA_ADAPTER or CAST_CAD_DATABASE_URL is configured.

Production exports now call the backend job contract. Takeoff workbooks capture audited measurement rows but fail closed until CAST_CAD_TAKEOFF_WORKBOOK_WORKER or CAST_CAD_XLSX_EXPORT_WORKER is configured; annotated PDF write-back remains fail-closed until CAST_CAD_PDF_EXPORT_WORKER is configured; PDF annotation import/unflatten jobs require CAST_CAD_PDF_ANNOTATION_IMPORT_WORKER or CAST_CAD_PDF_EXPORT_WORKER and refuse public URLs. Drawing transmittals, addendum/bulletin manifests, warranty/defect claims, warranty remediation plans, facility asset registers, maintenance/work-order plans, and facility inspection/corrective-action reports are audited/no-public-link records and require durable private storage plus configured delivery/notice/work-order transport before delivery, authorization, owner acceptance, dispatch, corrective actions, closeout, or completion. CAD/model ingestion accepts private pointers only and requires CAST_CAD_MODEL_INGESTION_WORKER, CAST_CAD_IFC_CONVERSION_WORKER, or CAST_CAD_CAD_CONVERSION_WORKER before viewer artifacts are generated. Model quantity links are source-cited, backend-audited, and remain non-budget-authoritative until human review.

Audited unit-cost and assembly rows load through `/api/cast-cad-markups?action=cost-catalog`. Rows remain review-gated and non-budget-authoritative; durable/private cost database persistence requires `CAST_CAD_COST_CATALOG_ADAPTER` or `CAST_CAD_COST_DATABASE_ADAPTER`.

Batch updates run through the audited backend contract. Drawing comparison requests now create fail-closed jobs that require the private comparison worker before any overlay/delta artifact is generated.

Review Rooms, Project Rooms, roles/permissions, external collaborators, audit logs, mobile/tablet field mode, offline sync, and integration connectors are planned as backend-enabled modules.

CAST CAD reads the published Alüm drawing metadata index, selects sheets from the current drawing set, and stores markups/takeoff edits as CAST structured data. PDF streaming remains guarded so private project drawings are not published as raw public assets.

Production provider readiness not checked yet. Refresh to list exact env choices without exposing secret values.

CAST CAD now separates completed application behavior from provider-dependent infrastructure. Anything requiring private PDFs, PDF write-back, comparison rendering, OCR workers, or external invites returns explicit provider-required state until the corresponding production environment variables and workers are connected.
